Abstract

The paper deals with the third stage of the dervish order of the Malamis opens up a new insight in their affairs as the third stage of the expansion of the Nakshibandis and tries to present new perspectives and point out to new knowledge in terms of tariqat expansion. An insight to Malami affairs will reveal new aspects in that regard as well. The key detail in the Malami affairs will be given by sayyid Muhamed Nur Arabi, famous shaykh Omer Lutfi Paćarizi and shaykh Malić. The paper particularly treats these three great shaykhs, with their different approaches to problem solving, as well as mutual efforts to reaching cognition. That is the reason why the Malamis advocated great sacrifice as a form of reaching perfection. This order was particularly popular in Greece, Macedonia and Kosovo. It was largely accepted by both urban and rural citizens. In the beginning of the 21st century the order has been most preserved in Kosovo, i.e. Orahovac, Prizren and Mitrovica, within classical urban culture. It is now extinct in Đakovica, as well as in most places in Macedonia.
