Abstract

The work is based on research conducted in 2019 and 2020, more precisely, the focus of the work is on the following: a focus group conducted among parents and teachers (20 respondents) and a survey (167 respondents). In addition to the empirical collected data, this paper considers the basic theoretical propositions related to the concepts of modern parenting, upbringing and socialization of children and young people.

This scientific framework sets the main hypothetical preoccupation in terms of understanding the wider social and cultural context and the relationship with family dynamics in contemporary culture. In other words, the following elements stand out as generators of changes in the family: the lifestyle has changed significantly: longer working hours, more time is spent outside the family home, the way of communication has changed in family relationships because modern technologies have taken on an almost leading role not only in communication but and in educational methods. Children and young people are exposed significantly more to many external factors and influences, which results in alienation from family values and traditions, implementing completely new models of behavior and thinking.
